Scale Application

###MANAGE YOUR EXPECTATIONS. Some reviewers have purchased the app without reading the entire description. This app is not perfect, due to physical constraints imposed by the hardware it will never be as accurate as we want it to be. This is clearly outlined below. We will continue working hard trying to improve it. However, it is more accurate than you estimating the weight. For a dollar it does what no other app can, measures the weight of objects placed on the screen.###

###If your results are far from the actual weight, such as a few of the reviewers, you are not correctly measuring. The iphone must be placed flat and allowed to calibrate without any movement. The calibration must take place each time an object is weighed. This is necessary to account for the surface the phone is on.###

The Scale Application does what no other application can – it gives your iPhone the power to measure the weight of an object.
Features:
-Measurement in multiple units
-Variable levels of accuracy through user-selected sliding adjustment
-Simple, Ad free user interface

When conducted properly, the results from the tests are accurate to within +/-20% of the actual weight. We would like to improve this number to within the +/-10% range. However, this may not be possible to due variations in the iPhone’s vibration and accelerometer accuracy. All improvements will be included in a no cost update. So understand that while the app is not perfect, it is close and very useful.

## During the calibration phase the phone will vibrate. You must weight and be patient. Any touching or interrupting of the phone, even the smallest amount, will ruin the results. To shorten the calibration and measuring time, visit the iPhone settings to change the accuracy. Lower accuracy means lower measuring time. ##

Instructions: Simply place the iPhone on a hard, flat, and vibration free surface and press “Next” to initiate the calibration. While the phone is vibrating do not touch the phone. After the calibration is done place the object to be measured on the center of the iPhone display and press next. After the vibration is finished, the program will then inform you of the weight of your object, it is that simple. The final screen displays two values for weight, one for hard objects and one for soft. Because of the way in which this app works, the two numbers are necessary for correcting for the differences in object types. If the object being weighed is hard, such as a can of soda, then use the hard number. If it is soft, such as a pear, then use the soft number.
